Camporosso: the pieve

The pieve of St. Giles features a high altar from 1704 decorated with polychrome marbles and frescoes (depicting the Flagellation and Crucifixion) by Thomas of Villach (late 15th century).

The frescoes are valuable for the correct layout of the episodes, the exuberant use of colours, the elaborate drapery and the careful and firm strokes.
