Aiello del Friuli: the De Bona Urbanis Castle

Over the centuries the De Bona Urbanis Castle has lost those features typical of a defensive building, save the two towers standing at its sides. The castle now bears more resemblance to a seventeenth-century building, the inside of which has undergone many changes, especially during the last renovation.

Very little remains of the original interiors. Some of its rooms are decorated with frescoes.
