The construction of villa Peteani-D’Attems was part of the policy carried out by the Habsburg with the purpose of strengthening the power of the Empire by sending aristocratic families to live in the border territories. (18th century - 1795)

The central part of the façade of the noble floor features a giant Ionic Order lesenes. The axis of symmetry is given by the very simple entrance door and the wrought iron balcony railing above it. Higher on the façade there are frescoed coats of arms. The windows are quite simple, except the central ones, enriched by fine wrought iron balcony railings.
