The Tininin watermill dates back to the 13th century and its name comes from a miller who lived there in the 19th century. In Aiello there are actually four watermills.
Three of them are close to the town borders that once divided the Empire from the "Serenissima" Republic of Venice, but the Tininin watermill is close to Perteole. It had four water wheels and stopped working in 1935.
